About Us




Background

SprocketLab Technologies, Inc. was established in late 2002.  With an increasing client-base, both domestically and internationally, it was time for the business to "think bigger".  Due to our elevated demand, SprocketLab officially incorporated in June 2004.  SprocketLab is headquartered in Concord, California.

SprocketLab Technologies, Inc. offers professional web design, exceptional web hosting, network architecture and IT consulting services.

SprocketLab is proud to be a member of the Concord Chamber of Commerce and was one of the official sponsors of the May 2005 Spring Business Trade Faire.

Rod Paulino - President and "Chief Webmeister"

Rod has established himself as an innovator and leader in developing professional and dynamic websites for over 17 years, since the early days of the Internet. He is Co-Founder and VP of Engineering for ZiXXo, Inc., a web-based coupon creation, management and syndication network that enables businesses to reward favorable behavior by local consumers. He has had extensive experience as Corporate Webmaster for Poet Software where he was primarily responsible for implementation, on-going development and maintenance of the corporate and global websites and produced numerous marketing and web-related materials (i.e. flash animation, banners, and other graphics/collateral). Prior to Poet, he came from RealNames Corporation as Website Developer/Technical Designer. Previous to RealNames, he worked as an International Project Manager at JIT Projects Inc. and as Graphic Designer/Web Site Administrator for the Student Programs and Activities Center at the University of California, Davis. In his spare time, Rod enjoys spending quality time with his family, playing tennis, carpentry and conjuring-up tasty, aesthetically-appealing meals.

   

Curtis Lum - Technology Infrastructure Guru

With over 16 years of computer experience and IT Manager for ZiXXo, Inc., Curtis brings enterprise level network design talent to your company. A Microsoft Certified Network Engineer (MCSE), he has experience setting up and maintaining enterprise level networks to both large and small companies. An expert at Windows infrastructure, he has a record of 99.9% uptime on all of his personally implemented networks, and has done NT to Windows 2000 migrations, and established office WANs and VPN’s. Also an expert technician, he can make sure that your hardware is up to speed and do upgrades as repairs as needed. He’s also in charge of the SprocketLab computer network and keeps it running at top shape. As a Microsoft Software Advisor, he can recommend the best software for the job and get you a reduced rate on open licenses.
   

Kenneth Troughton - Technical Engineer

Kenneth Troughton has had a fervent passion for consumer electronics with an emphasis in computers. He has been an ardent PC gamer since the days of the original Pentium processor. He brings home-grown computer experience to a field of endless certifications. He possess a unique but practical perspective towards troubleshooting and maintenance. As a vigorous gamer, he’s invested countless hours in front of a computer monitor. This translates into a resolute dedication to computers with a burning desire to further his personal knowledge and experience working inside the industry and you, the valued customers. He has experience in the sign industry where he learned the design and manufacturing behind the advertising medium. As well as PC hardware and gaming, and as a result of his work in the sign industry, he has had a significant time spent with Adobe Photoshop. He has had 2 years of college courses at a renown engineering school in Arizona as well as locally at Diablo Valley College, and has joined the Sprocketlab team in order to procure funding for his future college endeavors and appreciates all the team has done for him so far in securing a foothold in the computer industry. He hopes to graduate with a master’s degree into the field of Computer Science with an emphasis in gaming. He realizes that any problem, question, or install where his services are needed is another opportunity for him to further secure his place in this astounding technical field.

   

Michael Asuncion - Technical Engineer

Michael comes to SprocketLab with innate computer knowledge and a vast array of technical skills handed down from computer guru’s that have come across his lifepath. Michael deals with day-to-day tasks such as organization of computer cabling, software and hardware installation and offers clients sound suggestions on best computing practices. He always has the willingness to learn new things and truly is a helpful and conscientious team player. He graduated with honors in liberal studies and is disciplined in various business courses. Now being part of the SprocketLab team, he can only get better as time goes by with the tutelage of the executive core team. Michael is a laid-back guy who is very easy to talk to and absolutely approachable. During his spare time, he likes to spend time with family and friends. Recently, he got engaged so spending time with his fiancée is a must. With time and seasoned experience, Michael can only broaden his leadership, skills and "technical intuition" -- being fully equipped to assist and guide clients in whatever issues they may face.
